Baptism is meant to be a public display of one’s commitment to faith. Baptism is a Sacrament because it is meant to mean God’s presence blessing the person and welcoming the person to a life of faith.
Many parents decide to perform Baptism on their infants or their children. Other parents prefer to wait for their children to grow and be able to make the decision themselves, and so, they are baptized during their teenage years, young adult years, or even during their adult time.
SCHEDULING A BAPTISM
Baptism must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance of the desired baptism date. Please, remember that the officiant needs to confirm on his availability for the day you are requesting the Baptismal Service.
REQUIREMENTS FOR REQUESTING A BAPTISM
Parents need to complete the Baptismal Registration Form (the link can be found at the end of this page).
Parents will send an email with a copy of the child’s birth certificate (a pdf of the birth certificate can be sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org).
Parents and Godparents will participate in a Baptism Preparation Conversation with the Baptismal Officiant.

Some may be asking how much to pay for a baptism. There is no fee because the Church does not charge for the sacramental celebration. Families often give a donation to the presider on the day of their child's Baptism as a thank you for his time.
Please, consider a donation to the presider for his time, preparation of the ceremony, scheduling the conversation time with parents and godparents, traveling distance to the Baptismal location, use of church equipment, processing of forms, clerical work, etc. Thank you for your understanding!
