SRA Ministries Reaches Out to Church Groups and Community Organizations to Help with Special Need Items for the Homeless

Our goal is to reach out to the community and gather as many items of special needs such as personal care items, personal hygiene, snacks, water, and other food supplies, and be able to distribute them to the homeless men and women who are bound in to live in the streets of our cities”, explained Ms. Karla Torres, Chief Community Engagement Officer for SRA Ministries.

It is that time of year again when temperatures climb to dangerous levels and we all wish to seek relief by enjoying ourselves at a local waterpark or swimming pool. Meanwhile, countless men and women of all ages are taking refuge in the shade underneath bridges or in the outskirts of town in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex area.

“Our goal is to reach out to the community and gather as many items of special needs such as personal care items, personal hygiene, snacks, water, and other food supplies, and be able to distribute them to the homeless men and women who are bound in to live in the streets of our cities”, explained Ms. Karla Torres, Chief Community Engagement Officer for SRA Ministries.

If you and your church group or community group would like to cooperate, here is a list of special items that we will be collecting for that purpose:
• Personal care (small deodorants, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouth washers, hair combs)
• Personal hygiene (small shampoo bottles or body wash bottles, women hygiene supplies, small shaving creams and razor blades)
• Bottled water, Gatorade
• Small packets of snacks such as cookies, dry fruits, cereal, etc.
• Canned food products
• Rice, dry beans, powder milk, etc.

For your added convenience, a representative of SRA Ministries will be able to stop at your desired location to pick up the goods for you. We will Gladly drive to you and pick them up.
